FROM THE OFFICE Dear WSBBA Member, The WSBBA is excited to introduce another great event in continued effort to showcase your young bovine athletes. On May 5, 2012 we will kick off our first Legacy Futurity Event to be held in Caldwell, Idaho at the Canyon County fairgrounds starting at 10:00 am. This is an event for two year old bulls, bulls born in 2010. In order to participate in this event you must submit four payments between December 2011 and April 2012. Payments must be received by the WSBBA office in accordance with the dates and amounts shown below in order to be eligible to compete. We have changed the date for the first payment. There is no form for payments. Indicate on memo of check.
The total cost of your bull nomination is $900.00 of which 80% will go directly to the competition payoff. 20% of each nomination entry will be set aside to offset the cost of producing the event and $50.00 for administration. In the case where some nominations are not fully paid and do not compete in the event 20% will be set aside for the event production, $25.00 for administration, and 80% will go directly to the competition payoff.
A payment can be made after the deadline date with the exception of the final payment. If made after the deadline date the payment will be double the payment(s) missed. The additional fees paid will be included in the competition payoff minus event production and administration.
NOMINATION of your bull will need to be submitted with your FOURTH (4TH) PAYMENT. Nomination includes submitting the bulls name, number brand, and pictures of both sides of the bull and a legible picture of his number brand. Nomination form will be on the website.
The 2012 Legacy Futurity Event will be in conformance with the 2012 WSBBA Rulebook. Six judges will be used dropping the high and low score. All winning bulls will be mouthed by the event veterinarian. Any animal found to be out of compliance with the age mouthing chart will be disqualified without refund of their nomination fees.
Below is an example of what the payoff would be at the Legacy Futurity Event if there were 30 bulls entered and paid in full. This example does not include nominations that might drop out or late nominations. One place for every 5 bulls entered will be paid. 30 bulls entered would be a total purse of $20,400.00
